I like main street because of all the different restaurant choices. There's everything from seafood joints to Italian sit-downs. If you're a guy looking for a reputable place to get your haircut, check out the barbershop there. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the shops are a little underwhelming.
This is the Disney channel version of a Town's main Street. It's still got that main Street feel yet it's Starbucks and Vegan friendly convenience stores and wedding planning shops. Not exactly a true downtown yet still.... Nice.
Maybe the frequent change of staff is a solid sign that it's time for a change of management.
Great place to shop or just walk around. 1st Friday of every month is a street fair. Loads of fun for all ages.
Fabricated Main Street in the Middle of a parking lot. Lots of activities. Small variety of upscale shops. Good Restaurants. Fun stop but if your on vacation... Maybe stop in on your next trip... Sarasota has much to offer beyond this outdoor mall.
Go often because we are members and live very close to this theater. In a nice area near a number of restaurants. The theater is not old, but under renovation. The individual theaters are very small and often crowded for popular movies. The biggest problem is that management is not customer focused ... as an example, we could not find our member cards while in line (and rather than hold up the line) paid full price for our tickets. Before going to the theater, my wife found the membership cards and went to the manager to exchange them .... was told all sales are final, no exceptions. Another example; went to see "Paris Can Wait" three months after it was released and already at the Sarasota $2.00 Theater. Tried to use the free tickets given as a benefit of purchasing memberships (valid for use 2 weeks after release) but told couldn't use them for this movie. When I pointed out the release date and fact it was already showing at the Sarasota $2.00 Theater, was told "yeah, but you have to go to our Burns Court theater to use free tickets for this movie".
