Interesting little place tucked away. Good food with an interesting menu. If you are lucky you'll see a gator floating down the river.
Basically, the money grub has been going on since October 2016 when we got here, and March 2017. When the mass exodus started and park models were being abandoned in place, it started feeling weird here. Worse, the former owners weren't upfront about anything either. We have heard at least 4 versions of what will be done to this place. I don't believe a high end diesel pusher park is going to be enticing with no activities, but...Hey, it's your money, so...
Campers, beware....At least for the remainder of 2017. The property has been sold and it's kinda a cluster-f around here.
They told us one rate for 6 months then charged us $250 more a month, which is ridiculous, to have pay $850 a month here and there isn't even a pool or any activities. They are telling people they won't be responsible for trimming trees, or for any damage the trees do to your camper. Uh, that's BS. I don't own the property as an RV camper, so I can't pay insurance on your property nor make improvements -- that's YOUR job, Linger Lodge!!!! ):-^{ you have insurance for a reason!
Very disappointed
They sure have gone down hill!!! Had a party of 12, never got appitizer, some didn't get what we ordered, and an 18% tip was automatically added to bill for lousy service!!
We won't bother coming back, after all this crap. The last straw was a nastygram note left in our mailbox from the office about our site looking cluttered when we were out of town for 3 days. Really, dude? You got tree branches falling all over this place, Abandoned structures, construction noise from tearing out said abandoned campers, hosing us on the boat slip and rent, people getting stuff damaged from falling limbs & now this?
I suppose we should have known something was wrong when the website spoke of boat slips and a launch....We get down here with the 18 foot shallow draft Bonefisher, and even a flats boat can't launch.... you can launch a kayak maybe, but certainly not a boat. The water depth is 2 feet or less all over and the canal has not been dredged in a LONG time.
We moved out after that. Sorry Linger Lodge, but you guys can POUND SAND.
