Happy Camping

Timberland RV Park and Resort do not participate with Good Sam, Triple AAA, AARP, etc., none of the groups which allow a 10% discount.

Well...the options are sit in dirt or sit in dirt. I know this part of Florida has been dry, but they rather invest in thousands of dollars in 500 pound plastic picnic tables and dumping rocks rather than water the grass or put down slabs. The pool and laundry are only open 9 to 5...pretty inconvenient. Expensive...but by no means anything worth the money (we hoped it would be)... I'll take actual grass or a slab any day. Trust me...you've been warned. This place is owned by "Northerners" with no clue. We were originally told to pick out any site we liked...we did...but everytime they had an excuse as to why we couldn't go to that spot (3 times, still ended up in dirt) should have decided against this place from the first sign of incompetence...this is coming from a full time couple in a new 40 foot fifth wheel from the east coast of Florida. Like I said...you've been warned...do yourself a favor, and don't make a mistake like we did for a month. By the way...we found a really nice place in Ruskin with, wait for it....grass and a slab!!! (With a pond view to boot!) They charge you extra for a pond view...in the DIRT at Timberlane. Oh and also, by the way...for those of you that think I might be "picky"...I get it...but by our last week even my blue collar construction working husband said the dirt was too much. I should have taken pictures... nothing online looks like it does now. We just wanted a nice place and were willing to spend on it. So disappointed.

The one positive I can honestly and whole-heartedly give a thumbs up to is their water pressure, it is awesome!

I find the one star reviews comical. The couple who complained about trash pick up is ridiculous. It is very accessible to walk or drive your trash on the way out of the park. Don't be lazy. Yes, there are bugs, especially during the summer time. It rains, it's humid, and its a wooded park, welcome to Florida. What I find hysterical is the guy who was banned for knowing the park rules, and yet jumped the fence to swim at night. This was my past neighbor who let all of his cats go to roam the park and never took them with him when he left. If only people read the website correctly and noticed all of the rules listed (Trust me their listed). And the dirt part, seriously? It's just a typical Florida summer but there is plenty of grass in the park and they have a dog park under the tress covered in grass. Forgive my rant, but this isn't a traditional RV park. It's a family run business who makes this park feel like a home. It's not a corporate run business who only cares about income. At anytime they will help and assist with your needs and accommodations. All campers here are very friendly from my experience here (with a few exceptions listed above). The vibe here is very mellow, quiet and respectable to each camper. If you're looking for low key, quiet, centrally located to plenty of shopping, great restaurants and twenty minutes from the beach this is your spot.

The lots they show on their website are not reality. You have dirt and more dirt, very little if any grass, no slab, nothing. This is extremely true of the deluxe lots around the pond, which I might add you pay extra. The mosquitoes are rampant during the time we were here, which was summer, but I am certain they could have sprayed. Thankfully we had plenty of insect repellent.

The pool, laundry room and library are only open between the hours of 9 and 5. If you have trash to dispose of, you do that yourself. I have stayed in campgrounds all over this country and Mexico, the guest doesn't do this, trash is sit on the curb by a certain time each day and it's picked up by the resort.

The "rules" were absurd, as a 62 year old woman who has forgotten more than these owners know about camping or running an "RV Park & Resort", I found it comical that we were told twice (even though we told them we had no animals) that pets were to be on a leash, picked up after, etc., however, this rule evidently only applies to day, week or monthly campers. The obviously full timers "walked" their pets everywhere, including your lot, but not once did I see their dog waste picked and in some cases, no leash...

I have been permanently banned from the park for swimming in the pool after the office closed at 5pm. Most places the pool is open til dusk and I had no idea. To make matters worse, they emailed me photos of me in the pool as if to shame me as though I had done something horrible. Laundry can only be done when the office is open which is very inconvenient for people who work. It's very overpriced considering there are no amenities except the pool. There are no parking pads so be prepared for you car and RV to get very dirty, especially when it rains. I have lived in some of the most affluent areas of the country and find it almost amusing that I have been banned from a second rate RV Park. Disappointed

I just cannot give this facility anymore than one star as they are not what they advertise.

We will have to say we were extremely disappointed in this "RV Park & Resort". The amenities they describe, do not exist as described on the website or in reality.

Absolutely recommend this park for long and short term stays. It is close to 75 making it a convenient location. Close to shopping, beaches, nature walks ... As a female staying alone onsite for an extended period of time, I always felt safe, never worried. The park is clean, laundry and clubhouse are fantastic, owners are fabulous - so friendly and accommodating! Don't look anywhere else - stay at Timberlane! You will be glad you did!
