Breakfast in the morning was great as we're all the complementary drinks tea,coffee etc , it was a great experience despite the hurricane situation we were a little best western community.
We stayed during hurricane Irma we had just flown in and we had booked into motel6 as we were aware we couldn't get into our rental on ami but found a sign on door upon arrival saying they were under mandatory evacuation , thankfully best western were still open and accepting guests, we got 2 rooms both more than adequate, I cannot remember the gentlemans name who booked us in but he was English possibly the night manager and he was absolutely fantastic, people came in after us that they could not place in a room However they allowed them in for safety and set up some beds in the gym, we were kept well informed and given lots of safety advice during the entire event.
6- No attention to detail by management. AKA- picture hangers on the wall, but no photos, paint chipping off of the walls and mirrors, etc.
1- entrance door was always sticking
4- Room smelled horribly
Only reason I didn't check out immediately is because the rooms were very clean and the staff was great to work with. This is mostly a management issue.
2- Bathroom door was always sticking
My wife stayed at the Bradenton East Best Western over a weekend and had a short but excellent experience. Our check in and check out processes were handled with friendly professionalism and were quick and easy. Our room was very nice, clean and quite comfortable. The love seat / pull out bed was a bit uncomfortable but nothing out of the norm for this type of furniture. Internet was free and worked very well. A hot breakfast was served that included all of the typical hotel, hot breakfast menu items and the staff keep everything extremely clean and well stocked. We will certainly stay at this Best Western again when in the area, which will be often because of family members in that area.
3- Shower handle was falling off
Hotel staff and cleanliness of the room was excellent- only reason for a two star rating.
I travel a lot for work and am a best western rewards member. I've spent over two months in a hotel this year and this experience was the worst. a list below of the negatives:

The staff is wonderful, clean rooms, and very helpful for those with disabilities. Well lite parking lots and quite. Would recommend to anyone who needs a room.
5- Walls are paper thin- you can hear all of your neighbors
I know that this says Best Western Plus hotel but it is not plus quality. The reason I know this Western Plus quality is because we stay at so many hotels to the year and compared to Best Western plus manatee this does not and is not up to their standards. There are stains in the shower there are marks all over the walls to where it was at Pax proper and painted right. Although most everyone I met at the front desk was pleasant and nice we stayed the entire week there are some that just don't care. For instance the swimming pool not only is it not clean there was a sun in the grass beside this one the people that said they had just sprayed pesticide the next day they cut the grass and it got blue right into the pool they didn't care to do anything about it although the one fellow working the front desk did close the pool for the day although they were people in it. And be careful with the breakfast because I am a night person I am up all night long and when the Breads and the muffins and things start getting set out between 11 and 12 p.m. it makes it hard to have breakfast at 6:30 in the morning knowing that it is still buy then. Would I suggest this particular hotel to any of my friends or family no absolutely NO!!! Will I stay here again at my cost no. The pictures were took at about 12:30 a.m.. and there is a slight smell in the breakfast area at all times because the Buffet pans are not cleaned.
