The trouble began when I called the property to change my reservation from three days to two. An email was received at 4 am that they had cancelled my entire reservation. I had to call again to have the reservation reinstated.
The staff has been cold and inconsistent in following what each says are "the rules." We were given vouchers for drinks and found out 15 minutes later when trying to redeem said drinks that in Florida no alcohol may be comped. A state law is not something I would try to get around, but if the law exists why offer compensation with no redemption opportunity? We were also given breakfast vouchers that were difficult to have honored the next morning. During a trip to the lobby in the afternoon we found that the front desk clerk was watching a television in the bistro. The same front desk clerk imposed a long wait to pay for drinks and snacks for my children while on the phone. Why was there no other staff available?
Being a frequent traveller I regularly choose Courtyard and have stayed at many Courtyard priorities in 3 states. What a shame that this property is such a terrible example of the Courtyard by Marriott brand.
Nice area although hotel in need of upkeep. Has so much potential but has not done to appearance. Good restaurant across street Mattisons City Grill that made it worth staying!
Upon arrival, with multiple staff members present and no other guests requiring assistance, we had to wait to check in. We quickly dropped off our bags in the room and went back out.
I was at the Courtyard Marriott Bradenton for a work conference over the course of a morning and afternoon. The facilities were clean and fresh, gents toilets clean (can't speak for the ladies!). Food at lunch was served nice and hot, very good standard of cooking. Staff were attentive. A very pleasurable visit.
Absolutely the worst Marriott Courtyard I have stayed at.
I stayed here during Hurricane Irma having evacuated from Miami. Needless to say this was a very stressful time. When Irma moved its path, Bradenton was right in the projected path. We tried to make reservations on the East Cost or north but EVERY hotel was booked. This hotel was in a mandatory evacuation zone but they did not make any guests leave. We were permitted to stay and -unbelievably- so did the staff. Nobody created panic, everybody was so calm and remained exceptionally friendly. They even served a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner free of charge in the lobby. I was so touched by the service this hotel provided in these difficult circumstances. The rooms are remodeled, comfortable and very nice but what makes this hotel so very special is an outstanding staff. Thank you for making this exhausting time such an incredible experience.
Edit: upon packing up or belongings we found German cockroaches in our room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Whatever we had need of was fulfilled by your excellent staff who were always helpful. My cousin and I enjoyed our evening visits at the Bistro cafe and nightly swim and hot tub soaks. The rooms were stocked daily with plenty of shmpoos, conditioners and body wash and tje beds are very comfy. I would highly recommend this hotel!
When we returned we were surprised to find that the bathroom had not been cleaned and pubic hairs from a previous guest were on the floor. The second room we were offered had a broken bed and blood and other grime on the sheets of another bed.
