This was the place our children loved so much when it came time for vacations.
Peaceful atmosphere. Affordable. Rooms a little dated, but clean. Staff is wonderful.
Been comming here with the church for the past 3 years every single year 60% of the group comes back sick (flue) ,the rooms smell bad ,some rooms the ac does not work ,towels are dirty (have pictures of this ) bathroom are really old ,carpets are old which makes the smell worse,grass its not well kept ,food its a 4 out of 10 , hallway ceilling are falling apart ,elevators are slow with no ac if gets room next to elevator you will hear the super loud noise ,some toilet seats are really yellow like B.C yelllow (have pictures of this ) every year they say they did a upgrade which its a lie beacause i dont see it its a shame that a place like this with the amount of money they make they dont upgrade the facility which they need a mayor upgrade ONLY PUT 1 STAR SO I COULD RIGHT A REVIEW AND BECAUSE THE STAFF WAS NICE BUT THEY NEED TO UPGRADE LIKE 10 YEARS AGO
Very peaceful, beautiful facility. I love how it's out in nature, away from the busy city.
It lies on a huge piece of property with some gorgeous views along the manatee river. The people i encountered, both employees and guests, were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. I noticed a nice sized, clean swimming pool, a fire pit right by the river, and a few canoes as well. Next to the hotel is a strip of stores that gives that area a small town feel.
The real surprise was when we went to Disney World first and the younger two 5 and 7 kept asking Could we please go to Christian Retreat Now.
Looking forward to a family reunion with our four married children and our 23 grandchildren.
It's a good place for family to reconnect.
